Hong Kong is famous for delicious Cantonese food including dumplings, dim sum and BBQ dishes. There are lots of restaurants with various price points starting from £3 up all they way to £300. Hong Kong is the place where you can try some of the cheapest Michelin starred restaurants in the world. These are my recommendations for Hong Kong:
A restaurant with a gorgeous interior design and amazing classic Cantonese dishes. Mott32 is also one of the Micheline stared restaurants in hong Kong. Mot32 is not cheap at all but is perfect if you are looking for a nice dinner in a classic environment and you don’t mind spending money on high quality food.
The highlight of this place is Iberico pork and Peking duck but you need to order them 24 hours in advance.
Tim Ho van
The cheapest Michelin starred restaurant I have ever been. You can expect to eat the best dim sum and dumplings in this restaurant. Tim Ho Van can be very busy so you might need to queue but the service is super fast. This is a great choice if you have limited time and you need a quick high quality food. Our total bill for two people was £22. Can you believe it?
Ho Hung Kee
Another cheap Micheline starred restaurant in Hong Kong. This one was a bit more expensive than Tim Ho Van but still very cheap. You can expect a nice setting with stylish interior design and the service is very efficient as well. Ho Hung Kee is famous for Congee soup and noodles. Our bill for two people was £32.
The best coffee shop we found in Hong Kong. This small but cosy coffeeshop serves the best coffee in town. They also have few selection of cakes and pastries.
Coffee central by exchange coffee is a stylish coffeeshop in the basement and within walking distance to central station. They serve coffee and buffet breakfast. I loved the blue colour that is used in the interior design and the coffee cups.
A nice coffeeshop in the central part of Hong Kong. They have nice coffee and multiple selection of cakes and pastries. I found this place perfect to read a book or work.
